Resources for Online Language Students
Evidence tells us that multisensory instruction is most effective! Keeping necessary items in a box or basket can help keep things organized.
Setting your child up for success…
- Quiet Workspace. Preferably your child will be in a space that can be overheard by others. Bedrooms are not ideal as they are often a distracting space.
- A desk and chair that fit your child. Sitting on a bed or couch can make the space too relaxing. A proper desk tells the child it is time to work.
- Distraction free/ Organized space. Please help you child keep desk clear of only what is necessary for lessons. This space should be clear of distractions.
Non-tech Necessary Supplies to have/purchase:
- White board 11″ x 14″(clear of any print including the alphabet)
- White board markers (fine and thick…blue, black, red, green)
- Blue or Black Ball Point Pen
- Red Ball Point Pen
- 100 3”x 5” index cards
- Small Box (often found at Dollarama)
- Glue Stick
- tri-fold board
- 5″ binder
- dividers (8)
I will send a start-up kit to you. Then, on occasion, I will mail new items to you and will email you things to print. Once these items have been printed off, they will need to be hole punched and ready to be place into the student’s binder. This helps keep worksheets organized.
